Lost

It was one of the first to come, and now it's the first  to go!  A couple of weeks ago we realized you had loose teeth.  It fell out while sitting in the car.  We had stopped at the hospital to drop some things off at mommies work.  Cindy my secretary gave you a dollar, she said she was the "cheap fairy".  Then you spent the night at your cousins house and the tooth fairy (Uncle Andrew) left you a dollar under the guest pillow.  When you got home I said we better put your tooth under your pillow, and you said, "Don't worry about it, I'll pray to Jesus, and he'll talk to her.  He talks to her and Santa."  Smart boy.  Why bother when you can just talk to Jesus.  Your grown up tooth is already coming in, so you are well on your way to being a great big boy.

Fun in the sun

Kaleb, no fear!
Jonah, our cousin.
Kaleb's friend Heber who really wanted to swim OUTSIDE!
Kaleb and Heber say it's better than a bathtub!  Mom says she'll wait until winter to get in there!
After 4 weeks of sitting in a HOT natatorium for swimming lessons we were able to spend some time at our cousins house in their nice COOL pool.  This has got to be the best part of summer!

6 Years Old

It's hard to believe you are six years old. How time flies. Kindergarten is done. You have 3 loose teeth. We are enjoying another summer together, sleeping in, and oh how I love having you home with me. We went to Disney World for your birthday this year, a much needed get away. You are in your 3rd week of swimming lessons this summer and loving it. You love anything that has to do with a video game, and you love being around other kids. We try to keep you busy, but every once in a while you like to stay at home and have a "lazy day". Mom has been really worried for about the last 9 months since you have been having some additional health problems. You have been a good sport through it all, just a happy kid no matter what is thrown your way. How lucky we are to have such a great kid. You are my favorite Kaleb!

First Day

I look at him, and I think he's still a baby.....

I give him a healthy breakfast, lots of hugs, and a new tiger shirt.....

then I watch him make new friends, and I think it's going to be ok.
I can't believe he's an official kindergartner!

"Bigger Boy"

I still think of him as my baby, but he has let me know for a while that he is a big boy. The closer it got to his birthday he kept asking me, "How many days till my birthday"? & "Am I a bigger boy yet"? Kaleb's birthday fell on Memorial Day weekend, so it seemed like his birthday celebration lasted all weekend long! We started out with a trip to Toys R Us with his birthday coupon and left with his two best friends, Mario and Luigi.
It continued with a party at Chuck E Cheese with his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and his best friend. I don't think I've ever seen him smile as much as I did at that party.

Another great birthday cake by Aunt Tina!

Kaleb's favorite game, hmm, kind of reminds me of another game he loves.

He loves that mouse!

5 years old! (2 days early, but close enough)

Probably wishing for this day to never end!

A birthday cake with no worries!

The birthday star got to go into the flying ticket booth. For safety, they wanted him to wear goggles, and tuck in his shirt. It was hilarious. He looked like the cutest little "birthday nerd" ever! He even had blue frosting smeared on his cute little "nerd" face!

Go Kaleb!

After tucking every one in, the birthday boy fell asleep within seconds. It was a very busy day and we hated to see it come to an end, but we know that there will be many more special days like this to come and we cherish every one. Sweet dreams my "Bigger Boy"!
